Dave Woods

CEO

I have worked within the textile recycling industry for the past 22 years having founded my own textile recycling company in 2001.

I have worked with many national and local charities throughout the UK to collect their used clothing and shoes.

I am the former Treasurer of the Textile Recycling Association.

My experience lies in the collections, grading and export of used clothing and shoes. I am a very hands-on person keen to be involved in all aspects of running a recycling company.

After selling my previous company in 2019, I continued as Managing Director, overseeing the merging 2 companies in the Group which increased the collections from 70,000 per week to 250,000 tonnes per week.

I left in 2022 to pursue other interests but missed being involved in textile recycling. I am really looking forward to the challenge of building our new company, bringing all my previous experience to create a family run, efficient, friendly collection and textile recycling company which focuses on providing the best service we can.

Suzanne Woods

Director

I have been involved in the textile recycling industry since 2001, running my own textile recycling company until we made the decision to sell in 2019; this was part of our succession planning as our daughters had their own careers. I continued as Managing Director for the new owners until March 2022. During those 3 years I was pivotal in growing the company from grading 70 tonnes per week to over 200 tonnes per week with a workforce of 130.

I have a particular knowledge of vintage clothing and was responsible for creating the vintage hub and training all the staff from the other companies within the Group. The vintage hub processed and sold around 20,000kg per month of used clothing.

After a year out of the industry we have set up our new company Charity Shop Collections, where we hope to put all our years’ of experience to good use.

Conrad Barratt

Logistics Manager

I have worked in the textile recycling industry for the last 21 years. Starting as a collection driver and progressing to a Collections Manager I have built up a vast experience of co-ordinating collections from charity shops to household waste recycling sites.

In my previous role, I was responsible for 20 drivers and a fleet of vehicles, ensuring collections were completed on time. I also designed efficient route plans as well as liaising with charity shops and site managers to ensure their recycling needs were being met.

I am a qualified HGV and forklift driver and have experience in loading and unloading containers. I am an easy-going person who is not afraid to step in where needed.

I have worked with the Directors, Dave and Suzanne, in my previous role and look forward to the new challenge my current role will bring.

Mark Watson

Charities Manager

I have thoroughly enjoyed working in the recycling sector looking after charities since 2016 involved with Nationals, Hospices, and local charities for both regional and national recyclers.

I have worked for a combination of both graders and collectors. Within these companies. I have had responsibility for liaising with directors, heads of retail and managers of shops and hospices and developing relationships between recyclers and charities. I have set up and managed the drivers and their rounds which has enabled me to have a unique understanding of the logistics of running a successful collection.

Sarah Chandler

Office Manager

In my previous role, I was responsible for office management, sales and exports and health and safety. To ensure the smooth running of the office, I liaise with customers across and outside the UK, taking orders and completing all documentation for customs requirements, whilst being responsible for the full site health and safety compliance.
